you need to progress to the quest regarding the stockade trying to unlock stragglers grove, it begins when you repair the raft to access the right fog area

There are 3 golden long ears you need to escort to that area. There is a 4th one that is there to begin with so if you don't see 4 golden long ears, you need to go find them.

you need 24 slots in your bag. 1200/50 = 24

They go in packs of 50 to your backpack, so you need to get like 20 slots free or so to claim it.

You have to free enough backpack space to accept all of those in 50 stack increments. It's a ton. Just temporarily empty your whole backpack into the depot.

it says construction so it probably just means that you don't need to go back to aic when you run out of towers/pylons/rigs/etc in the wilderness
