ZHUANG, ROSSI, PERLICA, ARCLIGHT: TEAM REVIEW | ENDFIELD
Table of Contents
TL;DR - Key Points
- Rossi needs dedicated vuln stacking — her battle skill and ultimate scale on vulnerability stacks consumed, requiring reliable first-stack application from a partner
- Zhuang Fangyi is a self-centered carry — her Sunderblade mechanics and electric damage rotation do not apply vulnerability for Rossi, creating a synergy gap
- Perlica amps arts damage but doesn’t stack vuln — her electrification and arts intensity buffs help Rossi’s ultimate damage but don’t solve the core rotation problem
- Arclight provides SP generation only — she keeps skill points flowing but contributes nothing to Rossi’s vulnerability mechanic
- Team clears casual content — story missions and event stages are manageable, but rotations feel clunky without a clear damage window
- Falls 1-2 tiers behind optimal — Gilberta + Rossi + Perlica + Arclight outperforms by providing vuln stacking, consumption, and SP in a tight loop
- Build two separate teams instead — one around Rossi with proper vuln support, one around Zhuang with electric synergy
The Core Problem: Rossi Wants to Be the Star
Rossi’s versatility is well-documented, but versatility doesn’t mean she thrives everywhere. Her kit is built around stacking vulnerability on enemies and consuming it for massive damage through her ultimate and battle skill. To maximize her output you need:
- A reliable first vuln applier before Rossi uses her battle skill (so her passive debuff triggers)
- A way to stack vuln to 3-4 without wasting cooldowns
- Enough skill points to fuel her two-stage combo rotation
In this lineup, the synergy breaks down immediately.
Why This Team Doesn’t Click
Zhuang Fangyi competes for field time and skill points. She runs her own Sunderblade rotation focused on electric damage and crush mechanics. She does not apply vulnerability. She does not buff Rossi’s vuln consumption. Both characters want to be the primary damage dealer.
Perlica is the strongest link in this team. Her combo skill applies electrification and amplifies arts damage taken. This benefits Rossi’s ultimate, which deals mostly arts damage. However, amplification is not vulnerability stacking. Perlica’s vuln application is tied to her ultimate, making it inconsistent for Rossi’s rotation timing.
Arclight generates skill points, which is always useful. But beyond SP generation and basic utility, she does not contribute to Rossi’s core mechanic.
The result: Rossi has to apply the first vulnerability stack herself. That means her passive debuff doesn’t trigger, and she has to build the rest of the stacks alone. That is far from optimal.
What You’ll Actually Experience
If you run this team, here’s the gameplay reality:
| Character | Role | Performance |
|---|---|---|
| Rossi | Primary DPS | Battle skill and combo skill underwhelming. Ult usable on cooldown but rotation feels empty. |
| Zhuang Fangyi | Secondary DPS | Runs her own rotation. Does not benefit meaningfully from Rossi’s presence. |
| Perlica | Support | Arts amp helps both DPS characters. Best member of the team by synergy. |
| Arclight | Vanguard | Keeps SP flowing. No major complaints but no major impact either. |
You will mostly ignore Rossi’s intricate vuln rotation and use her ultimate whenever it is available. Her battle skill will feel weak without stack consumption. Zhuang does her own thing. Perlica amps arts damage. Arclight generates skill points. Nothing connects.
The team works in the sense that you can clear content. But it is far from ideal. As one experienced player put it: “She technically fits, but the only reason to bring her would be her ultimate. It wouldn’t be the best team.”
How Far From Ideal?
If “ideal” is a top-tier competitive team like Gilberta + Rossi + Perlica + Arclight — which cycles ultimates fast and melts high-difficulty content — this squad is a full tier or two lower.
You will still kill things. Story content and event stages are not a struggle. But for high-difficulty Protocol Spaces, Umbral Monument, or time-limited boss content, the lack of synergy shows up:
- Rotations feel clunky without a unified damage window
- Damage output is inconsistent between ultimate cooldowns
- You spend time waiting on skill cooldowns without a clear big moment to aim for
- SP flows freely but there is nothing efficient to spend it on
Better Alternatives
Rossi Needs a Proper Team
Rossi’s mechanics demand specific support. Build around her like this:
- Vuln applier: Gilberta is her best partner with 42% Arts Susceptibility and Corrosion battle skill. Endmin and Da Pan also work with their battle skill vuln application.
- Vuln consumer: Rossi consumes stacks with her battle skill. Gilberta’s application lets Rossi’s passive trigger immediately, creating a damage spike.
- Arts amp: Perlica provides electrification and arts intensity buffs, complementing vuln stacks multiplicatively.
- SP support: Arclight or Akekuri keep skill points flowing.
A strong Rossi team: Gilberta + Rossi + Perlica + Arclight. Vuln application, vuln consumption, arts amp, and SP generation in a tight loop.
Zhuang Fangyi Has Better Partners
Zhuang benefits more from:
- Perlica for electric damage amplification with Wild Wanderer/Qingbo 17s cooldown matching
- Arclight for SP generation to sustain her multi-rotation playstyle
- Laevatain for additional electric damage and stagger potential
- Ember or Snowshine as a dedicated healer/shielder
Mixing her with Rossi splits focus without creating meaningful synergy. Both want field time, both want skill points, neither buffs the other.
The Bottom Line
The team of Zhuang, Rossi, Perlica, and Arclight is functional but flawed. It gets you through daily content and most story missions. It will not excel in challenging endgame fights.
Rossi’s versatility is real, but she is not a drop-into-anything unit. She needs vulnerability stacking and consumption to shine. Zhuang Fangyi is better served by electric synergy and dedicated SP support.
If you have these four characters leveled and just want a usable squad, go for it. But if you are planning pulls or investment priorities, build two separate focused teams instead. You will get much better results.
