ENDFIELD Q&A: WEAPON SHOP & RESET ROUTINES
Table of Contents
TL;DR - Key Points
- Weekly weapon shop is hand-picked, not on a rotation — developers manually choose what appears each week, so a returning signature could be soon or could be a long wait
- Perlica’s CS must land before Zhuang Fangyi’s — put Perlica in a later slot (e.g. slot 4) so Fangyi’s slower animation lets her hit second, or manually stagger the casts
- Frog horde fights split two ways — Avywenna at 9 Recalled Bolts can one-shot the wave; an under-geared Tangtang trivializes the fight by slowing everything down
- Essence etching fodder is equal — mismatched and matching essences contribute the same rate, so save engraving tickets exclusively for perfect matches
- Signature weapon math is small — Lupine Scarlet is 25.5% over the free alt and Lone Barge is 24.2%, only a 1.3% spread; Tangtang’s signature matters even less
- Aurylene crystals serve one mission chain — after the 50,000 crystal milestone, they have no further purpose until future Etchspace Salvage expansions
- Daily/weekly/per-patch routine has no weekly combat reset — the cadence is Sanity, daily missions, Stock Bill buyouts each week, and Umbral Monument plus Etchspace Salvage per patch
Weekly Weapon Shop: Hand-Picked, Not Rotating
The weapon shop that refreshes every week is not on a fixed rotation. Developers manually pick what appears each cycle, which means there is no reliable way to predict when a specific signature or high-value weapon will return. The practical takeaway is to check the shop every Monday and grab anything that fills a gap in your arsenal. If you are saving for a particular weapon, assume the wait could be a while — it is safer to plan around its absence than to expect a return window.
Perlica → Zhuang Fangyi Combo: Order & Stagger
One of the most common execution questions in the help threads is how to land Perlica’s Combo Skill before Zhuang Fangyi’s so the electrocution stack is applied first. The fix lives in operator placement and timing.
Operator Slot Placement
Place Perlica in a later slot — slot 4 works well — while keeping Zhuang Fangyi in slot 1 or 2. When both Combo Skills are triggered together, Fangyi’s animation is visibly slower, which gives Perlica’s CS time to connect first.
Manual Staggering
If Fangyi’s CS is still on cooldown and you are ready to fire Perlica’s, activate Perlica’s CS first and wait for the hit to register before triggering Fangyi’s. This guarantees the desired stack order even when the cooldowns are not aligned.
Opener Rotation
A reliable opening sequence is to start the fight with Perlica’s Battle Skill, then immediately follow up with a Final Strike from Zhuang Fangyi. The combo links properly from the very first exchange and sets the rhythm for the rest of the rotation.
These patterns hold up across most encounters and are essential for pushing the team’s damage ceiling.
Frog Hordes: Avywenna or Tangtang?
A particularly nasty encounter features fast, hard-hitting frog enemies that punish unprepared teams. Two clear approaches dominate the conversation.
Avywenna Hypercarry
A well-geared Avywenna at 9 Recalled Bolts can one-shot the frogs consistently. The trick is heavy kiting and using planted lances strategically.
- Do not insist on having all 9 lances active at once — 6 is usually enough for a lethal ultimate.
- Use frequent push/pull effects to refresh her cooldown quickly. Ult Gain setups work especially well here.
- Spread inflictions across multiple targets using pulled-EX skills, then focus down the safest one first.
- Keep Perlica’s electrification stacks on the main target so Arclight’s Ultimate detonates at the right moment.
The biggest pitfall is reflex-pressing ally Combo Skills without checking positioning. Operators frequently plant themselves in danger zones during CS animations. If you cannot avoid that, either swap to a more mobile team or hold the CS until you have a clear opening.
Tangtang Speed Control
Even an under-geared Tangtang — level 80, no masteries, no etched essences, no artificing — can make this fight noticeably easier just by slowing everything down. Pair her with Last Rite, Xaihi, and Fluorite, swapping Xaihi for Ardelia if you need more healing. The reduced speed gives you room to dodge and manage waves cleanly.
The trade-off is raw damage. If the team cannot push fast enough to close out, invest a few days into essences and masteries for your main DPS and you will eventually punch through.
Rossi Run-and-Gun Variant
If you have Rossi, a stall-and-nuke loop is viable: stall for SP, dump Rossi’s ultimate, then repeat. Tangtang’s ultimate also time-stops the frogs, which gives you another window to reset positioning if you need it.
Quickfire Combat & Progression Answers
Essence Etching: Fodder Is Equal
Every essence contributes the same rate when used as fodder for etching, regardless of whether its stats match. Do not burn engraving tickets on junk essences. Save them strictly for perfect matches.
Purple Essences: Sell, Don’t Etch
Purple essences cannot be etched or used as etching material. If storage gets tight, sell them for the small stock bill payout.
Weapon Choice — Rossi vs Zhuang vs Tangtang
The math here is much smaller than the discourse suggests.
| Weapon | Owner | Improvement vs Free Alt |
|---|---|---|
| Lupine Scarlet | Rossi | 25.5% |
| Lone Barge | Zhuang Fangyi | 24.2% |
| Spread between the two | — | 1.3% |
| Tangtang signature | Tangtang | Less impactful (support role) |
A 1.3% gap is not going to alter your experience. Pull for the character you actually enjoy.
Physical Team for Umbral Monument
The Endmin / Pogranichnik / Lifeng / Chen lineup remains extremely strong. For the medal-trimming objectives you can clear most Agony stages with disciplined movement and cooldown management.
- Stage 3 (Tidal Grief) demands AoE. If physical struggles, slot a low-level operator to tank the final explosions, or take direct control of Ardelia for a solo face-tank run using her ultimate sheep.
- Stage 6 (Cryostatic Connection) requires breaking the boss’s freeze with stagger or heavy damage. Chen’s juggling abilities shine here.
Aurylene Crystals: One-Time Mission Chain
Aurylene crystals are needed for a one-time mission chain that culminates in a 50,000 crystal requirement. After completing all those missions, the crystals serve no further purpose until future Etchspace Salvage expansions arrive.
Multi-Line Engraving Kit Location
The Multi-Line Engraving Kit — the one-time perfect essence selector — lives in the Valley IV Stock Redistribution shop and unlocks once you reach Development Level 4. Check your stock; you may have already used it without realizing.
Jade Gourd Event: Retroactive Credit
Progress toward the trimmed medal is retroactive. Even if you only start mass-producing gourds late, every gourd you submitted earlier counts toward the total. To unlock the Experimental Heavy Xiranite Parts needed for the second gourd type, you must advance the event quest and have already cleared the 1.2 main story up to the point where Heavy Xiranite becomes available.
Daily / Weekly / Per-Patch Routine
Endfield’s cadence is different from many gachas. There is no weekly combat encounter with reset rewards, so the recurring checklist is shorter than veterans of the genre might expect.
Daily
- Spend Sanity (manage the energy cap)
- Complete daily missions
- Visit the Credit Shop and the Delivery Node
- Exchange Friend Ship Stock Swaps
- (Wuling) Run photo missions every 2 days, up to 3 stored
Weekly
- Clear weekly missions (these auto-complete from daily play)
- Buy out Stock Bill shops: Engraving Tickets, Gifts, and in Wuling also Gear Catalysts
- Detector restocks weekly, but they are not mandatory
Per Patch
- Progress through Umbral Monument for the trimmed medals
- Clear Etchspace Salvage — monotonous, but extremely lucrative for pull currency
Environmental monitoring stations in Wuling and operator gifts (up to 9 per day per operator) round out the optional daily tasks. Once you have bought out everything interesting in Valley IV, you can stop chasing rare materials and aim Sanity squarely at weapon essences — those remain the biggest long-term gate.
