YVONNE DEEP DIVE: ROTATIONS, TEAMS & MATH | ENDFIELD
Table of Contents
Hey everyone! I’ve been having a lot of fun this past week theorycrafting and testing Yvonne rotations, mathing out damage numbers, and figuring out what actually works in practice. So I put together this comprehensive guide — hope it helps you get the most out of her!
If you’ve been struggling to get Yvonne’s rotations to click or wondering which teammates actually make the cut, you’re in the right place. Let’s get into it.
TL;DR - Key Points
- Yvonne is a Cryo DPS who depends entirely on teammates for Cryo Infliction — she cannot apply her own
- Ultimate costs 220 energy — requires multiple smaller combos instead of one big burst
- Core rotation uses 7 total skillcasts — 4 Xaihi, 2 Yvonne, 1 flex slot
- Dodge cancel her ultimate’s final strike — saves nearly a full second (50 frames)
- Perlica outperforms Last Rite by ~10% total DPS in a Yvonne-focused team
- Signature weapon is ~17% stronger than alternatives
- MI Security set with Basic Attack gloves — her ultimate damage counts as basic attacks
- Ultimate is highest skill priority at 49.34% of total damage contribution
Kit Basics
Yvonne is a Cryo damage dealer who relies on her teammates to stack Cryo Infliction. Here’s a breakdown of her kit:
| Ability | Energy | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Battle Skill | 6.5 (team) + 10 (baseline infliction) + 30 per stack | Consumes Cryo/Nature Infliction, applies Solidification. Grants instant final strike. |
| Combo Skill | 20 | Available on last hit vs Solidified target — reapplies Solidification after a delay |
| Ultimate | 220 cost | Long barrage granting 30% crit rate (stacking) and 60% crit DMG when maxed. Final strike deals massive bonus damage vs Solidified. |
| Passive | — | 10% crit DMG vs Cryo Infliction, doubled vs Solidified |
Her ultimate’s final strike has a very long aftercast, so it’s recommended to dodge cancel as soon as the attack resolves. This shaves off nearly a whole second (50 frames) from the animation.
Because her ultimate has an extremely high energy cost of 220, consuming a single 4-stack Cryo infliction won’t even cover it. This means you need to do multiple smaller combos to battery her up, taking advantage of the additional baseline energy from her skill (10) and combo (20).
Team Options
Here’s a breakdown of teammate options with notes:
| Operator | DMG Buffs | Infliction | Utility | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Xaihi | S | A | B (Heals) | Core. Extremely strong buffs and consistent infliction tied to her buffs/healing. |
| Gilberta | S | C (one free nature per ult) | Great vs mobs | Very strong for bursting, but timing-dependent. |
| Perlica | C (P0) / A (P4+) | C (small corrosion for burst) | N/A | Power locked behind P1/P4 — increased Electrification duration and strength. |
| Alesh | B / A (RNG) | B (one free per ult) | Grants SP, costs nothing | Thermite Cutter holder. Needs P4+ for enough ultimate gain with frontiers. |
| Snowshine | D (ult applies solidification = indirect crit dmg) | A / S (P5) | B (Heals & Block) | Requires landing blocks to use skill, but cheapest infliction at P5. |
| Estella | N/A | A | N/A | Cheap inflictions + shatter damage. Don’t shatter final solidification during burst. |
| Last Rite | C | S | N/A | Consistent, cheap (70 SP) Cryo stacks. Small cryo susceptibility on consume. |
The Last Rite Problem
Last Rite offers superior personal damage compared to other options, but because she doesn’t receive energy from teammates, you need to feed her Cryo Infliction stacks if you want her ulting too. This creates an awkward rotation where both Last Rite and Yvonne are fighting for the burst window.
Combined with Xaihi’s skill only providing amp to one operator, you end up with a scuffed Yvonne and a scuffed Last Rite. Assuming both characters are invested with their signature weapons, the total DPS comes out to roughly 10% less than just focusing on Yvonne with another support like Perlica.
For that reason, we’ll use Perlica in the last slot going forward — she offers the strongest damage-increasing effects with the most consistent performance.
The Rotation
The primary thing to consider in a rotation is getting enough energy for Yvonne’s ultimate. To achieve this, you want to use two Yvonne skills — one at 1 stack and one at 3 stacks.
Recall that while bonus energy scales with the number of stacks, the solidification application and combo grant an extra 30 energy each. With 7 total team skillcasts, this gives her just enough energy for her ultimate.
The Core 7
The breakdown is simple:
- 4x Xaihi skills
- 2x Yvonne skills
- 1x flex skill (depends on your last teammate)
Replacing the last slot with another character leaves the core rotation the same. In cases where that character’s skill isn’t particularly useful, you can use a 5th Xaihi skill instead.
Standard Rotation (Xaihi + Perlica)
The rotation flows like this:
- Set up Cryo Infliction stacks with Xaihi skills
- Use Yvonne skill at 1 stack (triggers solidification + combo energy)
- Continue building stacks with Xaihi
- Use Yvonne skill at 3 stacks (big energy payoff)
- Use Perlica’s skill for the flex slot
- Trigger Yvonne’s ultimate with enough energy
- Execute the burst window with solidification + combo loops
Pro tip: Dodge cancel as soon as the final strike of her ultimate resolves to save those 50 frames.
Last Rite Version (Long Rotation)
If you’re running Last Rite, this is a longer rotation. You still do the 1-stack and 3-stack Yvonne skill pattern, then let Last Rite consume 3 inflictions at the end. On the first 3-stack infliction, let Yvonne’s skill connect before using Last Rite’s combo to avoid consuming the stacks prematurely.
Potential Analysis
Let’s talk through Yvonne’s potentials:
- P1: Mostly utility. Increases combo radius and adds a couple extra pulses. Barely affects damage. The extra energy lets you get your ult before the 7th skill in a 1+3 rotation, which can save several seconds.
- P2, P3, P5: Each provides a reasonable damage increase. These are your raw damage potentials.
- P4: Returns 10 SP per skill, which smooths out the rotation slightly.
P2, P3, and P5 are your priority if you’re chasing damage. P1 is nice for quality of life but won’t move the needle much.
Weapons & Gear
Yvonne’s Build
| Weapon | Relative Strength | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Artzy Tyrannical (Signature) | 100 (baseline) | Best in slot. ~17% stronger than alternatives. |
| Wedge | ~85 | From Level 45 Selector. High crit, focuses on Arts DMG. |
| Navigator | ~85 | From Protocol Pass Level 40. Consistent and comfy. |
| Opus: The Living | Budget | 5-star accessible option with crit and Arts reaction stats. |
Her signature weapon is around 17% stronger than alternatives (100/85 = 1.17). Both Wedge and Navigator come close to each other at baseline. Navigator is reasonable to eventually hit potential 5 with since it comes from the Battle Pass, though the overall gain is much smaller than the other two weapons.
For gear, you want the MI Security set with Basic Attack bonus gloves. Her entire ultimate damage is classified as basic attacks, making those gloves a massive multiplier.
The LYNX Slab is a massive stat stick that significantly outperforms the average value of another MI Security Toolkit, at the cost of your crit consistency.
Skill Investment Priority
| Talent Node | DMG Contribution | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Ultimate | 49.34% | Highest priority — nearly half her damage |
| Basic Attack | 38.75% | Second highest — ramps during ultimate |
| Skill | 5.98% | Lowest priority |
| Combo | 5.92% | Lowers cooldown by 2s when maxed — rotation utility |
Xaihi’s Build
For Xaihi, you have a few good options:
- Detonation Unit or Chivalric Virtues — very similar value, with Detonation Unit pulling ahead slightly
- If you have both weapons, it’s actually higher total team damage to put Chivalric Virtues on Xaihi and Detonation Unit on Perlica (over Oblivion), just for the Arts Intensity
For gear, there are two main options:
- Max INT — scales her amp buff on ultimate
- Eternal Xiranite — run by Gilberta too, but on Xaihi it provides uptime throughout the entire rotation instead of just at the end
Overall, it’s higher DPS to run Eternal Xiranite on Xaihi since the damage you gain throughout the rotation outweighs a slightly stronger burst.
Gilberta’s Build
| Weapon | Notes |
|---|---|
| Delivery Guaranteed | Marginally stronger than maxed Stanza of Memorials in this team |
| Stanza of Memorials | Usually stronger in other teams, but Yvonne’s burst takes over 5 seconds — the initial portion doesn’t benefit since you need to save Gilberta’s ult for the final hit |
Gilberta needs a total of 52.54% Ultimate Gain for this rotation. Eternal Xiranite is a generic set that also sees use in other teams, but there’s plenty of leeway if you want some Arts Intensity for the baby corrosion this rotation applies (not very significant though). If you have her signature weapon, you’ll have enough Ultimate Gain to run the Swordmancer set instead — the Cryo team has very low stagger, making this very useful for aligning break timings.
Perlica’s Build
| Weapon | Notes |
|---|---|
| Detonation Unit | Technically BiS for the Arts Intensity, but she doesn’t proc the weapon skill. Only take if you also have Chivalric Virtues for Xaihi. |
| Monaihe | Provides Arts Intensity matching Detonation Unit when maxed, but nerfs Perlica’s damage significantly vs Oblivion. Workable if Perlica isn’t invested. |
| Oblivion | Her standard best-in-slot for personal damage |
The total team damage difference between these options is extremely close — the small Arts Intensity gains are roughly balanced with changes in Perlica’s personal damage.
For gear, run the Pulser Labs set for Arts Intensity. You’ll also need Eternal Xiranite gloves to hit enough Ultimate Gain for this rotation.
That wraps up this Yvonne deep dive. This was a long one because I wanted to cover everything in the detail it deserves. I’ve been having a blast theorycrafting her and I hope this helps you get more out of your Cryo teams. Let me know what you think in the comments!
