ARKNIGHTS: ENDFIELD — VERSION 1.2 GEAR META BREAKDOWN

At the Wake of Spring · Patch 1.2 · Released April 17, 2026

Incremental gains over radical overhaul. How new Swordmancer, Bonekrusha, and Frontier pieces reshape physical DPS and support optimization. For the full gear database and per-set primary stats, cross-reference as you read — or jump straight to the build damage calculator to validate any swap.

TL;DR - Key Points

  • Physical DMG% Armor > AI Armor — Lifeng, Chen, and Endmin all benefit from Swordmancer Physical DMG% Armor as the new baseline piece
  • Lifeng trades UGE% for ~4% DPS — Pure damage build drops Ultimate Gain Efficiency entirely; balanced variant hits 8 BS → 3 CS breakpoint at only 6% loss
  • Chen splits by role — Combo Skill-only variant gains 4% with Swordmancer + Redeemer + Ultimate DMG% kits; vuln applicator variant uses all-Swordmancer Physical + Bonekrusha stagger
  • Endmin physical outside Crush — Physical DMG% Armor takes priority because significant damage comes from non-Crush sources
  • Da Pan Swordmancer gap narrows to 8% — New Swordmancer AI Gloves close the gap versus pure Aethertech while improving stagger
  • Pogranichnik Frontiers hits 7 BS → 1 CS — UGE% gloves from Frontiers enable a key ultimate breakpoint
  • Frontier Intellect pieces for supports — New O2 Tube T1 (INT + AGI + Skill Amp%) and UGE% gloves benefit Xaihi, Arclight, Alesh, Akekuri
  • Bonekrusha gloves for Avywenna — Will + AGI + Cryo/Elec DMG% gloves paired with UGE body and Lynx slab form starting point
  • Tangtang Qingbo trade-off — 11-13% DPS loss versus Bonekrusha for Combo Skill CD reduction; viable only with Zhuang Fangyi for Perlica

01 — LIFENG: BALANCING ULTIMATE CADENCE AGAINST RAW DAMAGE

Lifeng’s kit centers on Battle Skill application and Combo Skill execution. Version 1.2’s Swordmancer pieces enable a pure Physical DMG% build that outperforms the 1.1 best-in-slot by approximately 4% DPS.

Pure Damage Variant

ComponentItemPrimary Stat Focus
ArmorSwordmancer Physical DMG%Physical Damage
GlovesQingbo All Skill DMG%Skill Damage
KitSwordmancer Physical DMG% × 2Physical Damage

This build drops Ultimate Gain Efficiency (UGE%) entirely, maximizing raw damage output. The trade-off is significant: without UGE%, Lifeng cannot reliably reach his 8 Battle Skill to 3 Combo Skill ultimate breakpoint, meaning slower ultimate uptime.

ComponentItemPrimary Stat Focus
ArmorYL UGE% (Level 50)Ultimate Gain Efficiency
GlovesSwordmancer Physical DMG%Physical Damage
KitSwordmancer Physical DMG% × 2Physical Damage

The balanced variant performs only ~6% below the pure damage peak while maintaining consistent ultimate rotation. For most players, the practical uptime advantage outweighs the raw DPS difference.

Key insight: The 6% performance gap between balanced and pure variants is small enough that rotational consistency provides better real-world results. UGE% ensures the ultimate is available during damage windows rather than waiting for SP generation.

02 — CHEN: ROLE-DEPENDENT BUILD DIVERGENCE

Chen’s optimal gear depends entirely on her role within the team composition. Version 1.2 introduces distinct paths for pure Combo Skill usage versus vulnerability application.

Pure Combo Skill Variant

Use this when running Chen with only Combo Skills and relying on Lifeng’s Battle Skills for vulnerability application:

ComponentItemPrimary Stat Focus
ArmorSwordmancer Physical DMG%Physical Damage
GlovesRedeemer Ultimate DMG%Ultimate Damage
KitSwordmancer Ultimate DMG% × 2Ultimate Damage

Yields ~4% increase over her best 1.1 option.

Low-Investment Alternative

Simply swap AI Armor to Physical DMG% Armor for a ~3% increase with minimal gear changes. This is the most cost-effective upgrade path for players who already have a Chen build.

Vulnerability Applicator / On-Field Variant

Use this when Chen is your primary vulnerability applicator or when she spends significant time on the field:

ComponentItemPrimary Stat Focus
ArmorSwordmancer Physical DMG%Physical Damage
GlovesSwordmancer Ultimate DMG%Ultimate Damage
KitSwordmancer Physical DMG%Physical Damage
RemainingBonekrusha DMG% vs StaggeredStagger Damage

Provides ~3% increase over the 1.1 best option. The Bonekrusha stagger piece complements Chen’s on-field stagger application, converting vulnerability windows into direct damage.

03 — ENDMIN: PHYSICAL DAMAGE TAKES PRIORITY

Version 1.2 shifts Endmin’s best-in-slot Armor from AI Armor to Physical DMG% Armor. This change reflects a key insight from damage calculations: Endmin deals significant damage outside of Crush attacks, making Physical DMG% more valuable than AI%.

ComponentItemPrimary Stat Focus
ArmorSwordmancer Physical DMG%Physical Damage
GlovesAethertech AI DMG%AI Damage
KitSwordmancer Physical DMG% × 2Physical Damage

Provides ~2.5% DPS increase. For off-field Endmin usage, the gain is approximately 1.5%.

Note: The Aethertech Gloves remain optimal because Crush attacks still benefit from AI% scaling. The armor swap is the primary change; kits follow the physical damage priority.

04 — DA PAN: SWORDMANCER CLOSING THE GAP

Da Pan traditionally runs pure Aethertech for maximum damage. Version 1.2’s new Swordmancer AI Gloves make the Swordmancer path more competitive, though Aethertech remains ahead.

Swordmancer Variant

ComponentItemPrimary Stat Focus
ArmorAethertech DMG% vs StaggeredStagger Damage
GlovesSwordmancer AI DMG%AI Damage
KitSwordmancer AI × 2AI Damage

This setup is ~8% behind pure Aethertech in raw DPS. The trade-off is improved stagger application, which may be worth considering for teams that need better stagger control.

Context: The 8% gap is narrow enough that situational factors (stagger requirements, team composition) may justify the Swordmancer variant despite lower personal DPS.

05 — POGRA NICHIK: FRONTIERS REACHES KEY BREAKPOINT

Pogranichnik gains a meaningful quality-of-life upgrade through the new Frontiers UGE% Gloves — see his SP-battery role in our SP generator ranking. This enables the 7 Battle Skill to 1 Combo Skill ultimate breakpoint within the Frontiers set.

Breakpoint Build

ComponentItemPrimary Stat Focus
GlovesFrontiers UGE%Ultimate Gain Efficiency
ArmorFrontierHybrid
KitOff-set UGE%Ultimate Gain Efficiency

The Frontiers set previously lacked sufficient UGE% to reach this breakpoint reliably. The new gloves solve that constraint.

06 — NEW FRONTIER PIECES: SUPPORT OPTIMIZATION

Version 1.2 introduces two Frontier pieces that directly benefit Intelligence-based support operators.

Frontier O2 Tube T1

Provides Intelligence, Agility, and Skill Amplification%. Ideal candidates:

  • Xaihi — Intelligence scales her support output
  • Arclight — Intelligence improves Arts Amp effectiveness
  • Alesh — Intelligence enhances healing and SP generation
  • Akekuri — Intelligence maximizes buff ceiling

Priority rule: Reach your ultimate breakpoint within team composition before prioritizing this piece. Skill Amplification% is valuable but secondary to reliable ultimate uptime.

Frontier Gloves (Intelligence + Agility + UGE%)

Excellent for any Frontier user who needs better ultimate breakpoints. The UGE% component enables more consistent rotation timing across all support operators running the set.

07 — BONEKRUSHA GLOVES & FIGURINE

Bonekrusha Gloves: Will + Agility + Cryo/Electro DMG%

Designed for Avywenna. These stats align perfectly with her kit requirements. Full calculations pending, but the starting point for 1.2 is clear:

ComponentItem
GlovesBonekrusha Will + AGI + Cryo/Elec DMG%
BodyUGE%
SlabLynx MA%

Bonekrusha Figurine T2: Will + Intelligence + Battle Skill DMG%

No clear use case identified at this time. Holds no priority for current operator builds.

08 — QINGBO SET: TANG TANG AND PERLICA

Tang Tang: Qingbo for Rotation Flexibility

Tang Tang can run the Qingbo set when Combo Skill cooldown reduction is needed in your rotation. The cost is significant: 11-13% DPS loss compared to Bonekrusha.

UGE% Variant (16% UGE)

ComponentItem
ArmorQingbo UGE%
GlovesQingbo All Skill DMG%
KitQingbo Battle Skill%
SlabLynx MA%

No-UGE Variant

ComponentItem
ArmorBonekrusha Cryo DMG%
GlovesQingbo All Skill DMG%
KitQingbo Battle Skill% × 2

Choose the UGE% variant when ultimate cadence is a concern. The no-UGE variant maximizes damage at the cost of slower ultimate generation.

Perlica: Qingbo Only With Zhuang Fangyi

Perlica can use Qingbo, but the recommendation is narrow: only when paired with Zhuang Fangyi. In all other compositions, Pulser Lab provides better debuff application and damage potential.

09 — XIRANFLOW: ZHUANG FANGYI REMAINS UNCHALLENGED

The Xiranflow set continues to be the definitive best choice for Zhuang Fangyi. No alternative set competes with its reaction consumption mechanics for his kit. This remains unchanged from the previous equipment meta analysis.

CONCLUSION: INCREMENTAL GAINS, FLEXIBLE OPTIONS

Version 1.2 does not overturn the existing gear landscape. Instead, it provides meaningful incremental improvements and new flexibility:

  1. Physical DMG% Armor is the primary upgrade — Swap AI Armor to Swordmancer Physical DMG% on Lifeng, Chen, and Endmin where their kits justify the change
  2. UGE% gloves unlock breakpoints — Frontiers UGE% Gloves enable Pogranichnik’s 7 BS → 1 CS threshold; Frontier UGE% gloves benefit all Frontier users
  3. Balanced builds outperform pure DPS in practice — Lifeng’s balanced variant (UGE% Armor + Physical DMG% Gloves/Kits) delivers 94% of pure damage with better ultimate consistency
  4. Supports gain Intelligence-aligned pieces — Frontier O2 Tube T1 and UGE% Gloves provide long-needed Intellect options for Xaihi, Arclight, Alesh, and Akekuri
  5. Swordmancer gap narrowing — Da Pan’s Swordmancer variant at 8% behind Aethertech makes stagger-focused builds viable for the first time

For most players, the practical recommendation is straightforward: prioritize Physical DMG% Armor swaps on your physical DPS operators, use UGE% pieces to hit key breakpoints, and maintain balanced builds that ensure consistent ultimate rotations over marginal pure-damage gains. Once your gear set is locked in, the next lever is socketed essences — see the Essences guide for which Skill DMG and UGE% essences pair with Swordmancer and Frontier pieces.
