Table of Contents

Welcome to the factory, newcomer. If you’ve played a lot of gacha and you’re disappointed with recent entries, you’re not alone. Endfield does things differently — and that’s exactly why it might be the breath of fresh air you’ve been looking for. Let’s save you some headaches.

TL;DR - Key Points

  • Rate-up guarantee is 120 pulls and banner-bound — It vanishes when the banner ends. Save 120 before rolling.
  • 80-pity for any 6-star carries over — But it won’t guarantee your target character.
  • Weapon currency comes from character pulls — Arsenal Tickets are free bonus rolls on weapon banners.
  • Battle pass is genuinely worth it — Yellow crystal (Oroberyl) upgrade refunds itself plus a 6-star weapon crate.
  • 4 and 5-stars are competitive — Akekuri, Snowshine, Perlica, and Chen fit into most teams.
  • Signature vs F2P weapon gap is 10-20% — Battle pass weapons carry you fine in most cases.
  • Depot delivery runs are top income — ~1 million bills/day early game from upgrading one depot.
  • Supports cap at level 60 with L70 gear — Main DPS at 80 with appropriate gear. Don’t rush max levels.

The Gacha Mechanics Are Weird. Here’s the Deal.

The biggest trap for gacha veterans is assuming pity carries over. It doesn’t — not for the rate-up guarantee.

You have a 50/50 at 80 pulls, but the guaranteed rate-up is at 120 pulls. That 120 guarantee is tied to the banner itself. When the banner ends, that guarantee vanishes. So unless you have 120 pulls saved up, you’re gambling. Plain and simple.

The 80-pity for any 6-star does carry over across banners. But that’s not what you care about when you want a specific character.

Weapon Banners

Weapon banner currency (Arsenal Tickets) comes from pulling on character banners. This sounds annoying, but it means you get “free” shots at signature weapons just by pulling characters you already wanted. Weapon banners also stick around for three character banners, so you can use pulls from two future characters to fund your weapon rolls.

Free Pull Mechanics

At 30 pulls on a character banner, you get a free 10-pull that doesn’t affect pity. If you get a 6-star on those free pulls, your pity stays intact. At 60 pulls, you get a voucher for 10 free pulls on the next banner.

The Golden Rule

Save 120 pulls before rolling. Don’t get baited. This is not a “pull whenever” kind of game.

Battle Pass: Actually Worth It

That yellow crystal currency you get from playing (Oroberyl)? You can use it to upgrade your battle pass to the second tier. This tier gives you back some Oroberyl, a 6-star weapon crate, and a ton of materials.

You don’t need to rush — every mission can be done anytime, so you can go from 0 to 60 the day before the pass ends.

Don’t Sleep on Lower Rarities

Four and five stars are genuinely good in Endfield. Characters like Akekuri, Snowshine, Perlica, and Chen fit into most teams. You don’t need a full 6-star roster to clear content.

Speaking of Perlica — build her. She’s an incredibly strong support. Don’t overlook her just because she’s free.

Signatures vs F2P Weapons

The gap is tolerable for most characters. We’re talking 10-20% difference between signature weapons and good F2P options.

CharacterSignature vs F2P GapNotes
Most characters10-20%Battle pass weapons viable
Zhuang FangyiLarger gapSignature noticeably better
Gilberta~1.5%B5 5-star weapon nearly identical

Don’t feel pressured to pull every signature weapon. Battle pass weapons and standard 6-star weapons will carry you just fine.

Factory Tips From People Who Learned the Hard Way

Take your time. Using guides is fine, but messing around with your own blueprints helps you actually understand the systems. Resources are limited, so understanding how to reconfigure your factory is valuable.

Don’t be afraid to rebuild everything from scratch. It takes time, but constant max production isn’t required. Enjoy the process.

First Battery Formula

Put those batteries into a PAC, a Protocol Stash, or a Depot Loader. Then unload them into Thermal Banks. This is apparently a common newbie trap — don’t waste your first batteries elsewhere.

The AIC Tree

Ignore the Defense tab until last. You don’t need those defense missions to progress Outpost development. Spend your points on production stuff first.

Early Game Money: Depot Runs

Upgrade a depot once to unlock delivery runs for other players. This is your biggest source of bills early on. We’re talking 1 million a day, which is enough to max out your stock, depot, AIC, and recycling facilities in Valley.

Don’t sleep on this.

Leveling Priorities

Supports are fully usable at level 60 with level 70 gear unlocked. Sub-DPS and main DPS can function at level 80 with appropriately leveled weapons.

Maxing a character takes enormous resources, so don’t feel like you need to rush everyone to max.

Exploration Quality of Life

If you don’t like using interactive maps and you’re not a hardcore explorer, buy Detectors and Compasses from the stock exchange. They help tremendously with finding chests and Aurylene.

The Tutorial Wall

You will be overwhelmed by tutorials. They’re annoying but necessary, especially for factory stuff. Endure them. After about halfway through, it gets better.

Don’t Rush

You’ll be locked out of progressing the main story anyway because you’ll need to raise your Authority Level. So take your time. Explore. Build. Do side quests. The story gets better as you go, especially the Wuling arc and the 1.2 content.

Quick Tips

  • Save your 6-star selector ticket from mail until after you pull your first 6-star from the New Horizons banner. You get Ardelia for free after a few days anyway.
  • Use food buffs. They help a ton when your characters aren’t fully built yet.
  • Set up ziplines when you have time. Link them to delivery and material spots. You’ll want them in later areas.
  • Delivery runs are optional for dailies. Great income, but treat them as extra grind if you’re on a time budget.
  • Have fun. That’s the point. Endfield is a good game, but it’s still just entertainment. If you’re not enjoying it, don’t force it.

Welcome to Talos II. Now go build something ridiculous.
