PITY SYSTEM DEEP DIVE
The math behind every pull in Arknights: Endfield
Last updated: 2026-05-12
Base Rates
Arknights: Endfield character banners use a 0.8% base rate for 6-star Operators, 8.0% for 5-stars, and 91.2% for 4-stars. A 5-star or higher is guaranteed every 10 pulls, and the 10-pull guarantee carries over between banners of the same type.
The Soft Pity Curve
From pull 66 onward, the per-pull chance of a 6-star Operator follows p = 0.008 + 0.05 × (n − 65). The rate climbs in 5% steps until it reaches 100% at pull 80. Because the curve is so steep, the statistical average pull for a 6-star sits in the low 70s — not at the 80-pull ceiling.
Because of how quickly probability stacks, roughly 99% of players will pull their 6★ by the 75th attempt. To model your specific banner — including saved currency, free pull rewards, and carry-over pity from previous banners — use the pity calculator to plot your exact curve before committing resources.
The Dual-Counter Paradox
Limited (Chartered) banners run two parallel pity counters with different reset rules. The 80-pull general pity carries over between banners and resets only when a 6-star appears. The 120-pull featured character guarantee is tied to a specific banner and is wiped when the banner ends. Misunderstanding this separation is the most common — and most expensive — pity mistake in Endfield.
Endfield's design rewards planners over impulse pullers. Before you spend a single Oroberyl, run your numbers through the pity calculator to confirm you can either secure the spark or sit the banner out. For a broader currency and banner-type overview, see the main gacha guide.
Free Pull Incentives
Weapon Pity (Arsenal Exchange)
The weapon banner uses Arsenal Tickets — a byproduct of character pulls — rather than Oroberyl. A 6-star weapon is guaranteed every 40 pulls with a 25/75 split for the featured signature weapon, and the featured weapon is hard-guaranteed by pull 80. Weapon pity does not carry over between banners; rotation wipes the counter.
