Tidal Grief Stage 3: Ardelia Solo Cheese
Table of Contents

A short, surgical solo cheese for Tidal Grief — Stage 3 of the Turbidity Manifest Umbral Monument. One operator, one rotation, one very stubborn healer. Need the full stage and enemy breakdown? The Umbral Monument Database has every Normal/Agony enemy roster.

TL;DR - Key Points

  • Stage 3: Tidal Grief — solo YOLO cheese, Ardelia carries the entire run
  • Lynx set is mandatory — the treatment bonus is what lets Ardelia outheal incoming damage
  • Push the blue goos back — keep them away from the central crystal so they can’t pile in and detonate as one fatal wave
  • Bank 3 ATB bars before the 8/24 and 12/24 enemy spawn points
  • Spam Ardelia’s heal during the heavy waves to soak the damage in chunks you can survive
  • Save Ardelia’s ult for the 12/24 wave — this is the breakpoint where damage stacks fastest

Watch the Run

Why Lynx Set on Ardelia

The whole strategy rides on Ardelia’s self-healing throughput. The Lynx set’s treatment bonus scales every heal she casts on herself, which turns her kit from “decent sustain” into “literal wall.” Without that treatment multiplier, her self-heals can’t keep up with the burst damage from the goo waves — she dies, and the run is over.

If you’re trying to substitute another set for raw stats, don’t. Treatment is the entire reason this cheese works.

The Crystal Problem

Tidal Grief’s failure state is the central crystal. If the blue goos reach it and pile up, they all detonate together — and the simultaneous damage spike is unsurvivable, even for a Lynx-stacked Ardelia.

The trick is spatial control: keep pushing the goos back, away from the crystal. You’re not trying to kill them faster than they spawn — you’re trying to spread their damage across time so you can soak it in manageable chunks instead of one lethal blast.

This is why the run looks slow and methodical instead of a damage rush.

ATB Management - The 8/24 and 12/24 Breakpoints

Stage 3 has 24 enemy spawn points. Two of them matter:

Spawn PointWhat’s HappeningWhat You Need
8/24First heavy wave starts stacking pressure3 full ATB bars banked, ready to spam heal
12/24Peak damage window — the run lives or dies here3 full ATB bars plus Ardelia’s ult

In the lead-up to each breakpoint, stop using ATB on anything else. Don’t dump it on offense, don’t waste it on minor heals. Bank it. When the wave hits, you’re going to spam Ardelia’s heal back-to-back to soak the damage in chunks.

The 12/24 wave is the breakpoint where the cheese can fail. Save Ardelia’s ult for this wave — it’s the difference between surviving and getting overwhelmed.

Run Checklist

  • Ardelia equipped with full Lynx set (treatment bonus active)
  • No other operators in the squad — this is solo
  • Position Ardelia between the goo spawns and the central crystal
  • Always pushing goos away from the crystal
  • ATB banked to 3 bars before 8/24 and 12/24
  • Ult held until 12/24

When This Cheese Works (and When It Doesn’t)

This is a cheese, not a generalized clear strategy. It works because:

  • Ardelia’s kit + Lynx treatment = enough self-sustain to outlast the stage
  • Tidal Grief’s failure condition is geometric (crystal pileup), not raw DPS
  • The damage is survivable if spread across time

It will not work if you swap Ardelia for a different healer, swap Lynx for a different set, or try to brute-force the goos instead of pushing them back. The whole strategy is a tightly coupled system — break one piece and the whole thing falls apart.

Solo cheese strats are some of the most satisfying clears in Endfield. Less roster pressure, more brain. Trim that medal.
