Operator Gift Preferences & Trust System Mechanics
Last updated: 2026-04-28
Master the Operator Trust System: reach 100% in 3-5 days using V4 Bills, understand daily gift efficiency tiers, and optimize your gifting economy for maximum stat node unlocks.
* TL;DR - Key Points
- * 100% Trust unlocks final Skill Matrix stat nodes -- the most critical milestone for combat performance
- * 200% Trust unlocks archives, voicelines & food RNG -- completionist goal with passive resource benefits
- * Daily efficiency drops 4x across tiers -- Green (100%), Yellow (50%), Red (25%) for Preferred gifts
- * Trust scaling halves after 100% -- 3 Green Preferred = ~20% below 100%, only ~5% above
- * V4 Bills beat Wuling Bills for gifting -- ~700 V4 gifts/week = 3 operators/week from 0-100%
- * Gift preference is a two-step check -- hobby match required, then faction or Hot for Preferred tier
- * Meeting Point shortcut saves minutes daily -- Dijang Central Ring summons any operator instantly

The Three Trust Milestones
Trust is not a vanity metric. It directly impacts combat performance and your resource economy. Understanding the three milestones determines how you allocate your daily gifting budget.
Unlocks the final Stat Nodes in an operator's Skill Matrix. Without these, operators operate at a significant deficit in high-end content like Umbral Monument Agony Mode. Every operator in your rotation should target 100% first.
No additional stats beyond 100%, but hitting 200% unlocks the full suite of Personal Archives and Voicelines. The practical benefit: it significantly improves the RNG rarity of daily food gifts from that operator.
The Nexus: Passive Finisher
In the Dijang Nexus, assign up to 3 operators for passive trust gain over time. This is a "set and forget" mechanic, but the rate is far too slow for active building. Use it to finish off characters already at 190%+.
Daily Gift Efficiency Tiers
Gifting is gated by a daily fatigue system, visualized by the Smiley Face icon on each operator's portrait. Ignoring these colors means throwing away resources.
| Smiley Color | Efficiency | Preferred Gifts | Acceptable Gifts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Green | 100% | Gifts 1-3 | Gifts 1-30 |
| Yellow | 50% | Gifts 4-6 | Gifts 31-60 |
| Red | 25% | Gifts 7-8 | Gifts 61-75 |
Maximum per day: 8 Preferred Gifts OR 75 Acceptable Gifts (or a proportional combination). The Red tier gives only 25% of base trust value -- stop before it.
Trust Scaling: The Soft Cap
| Progress | 3 Green Preferred Gifts |
|---|---|
| 0% to 100% | ~20% Trust |
| 101% to 200% | ~5% Trust |
This 4x efficiency drop is why you prioritize getting operators to 100% before investing in 200% runs. You can reliably take an operator from 0% to 100% in 3 to 5 days by maximizing Green and Yellow tier gifts daily.
Pro Tip: Stop Before Red
Red tier gives only 25% efficiency. For 8 Preferred gifts, you are spending double the resources for 1.5x the gain compared to Green tier. Focus your budget on Green (100%) and Yellow (50%) tiers. Skip Red entirely unless you have surplus gifts.
How Gift Preference Works
Not every gift works for every operator. The game uses a two-step logic check to determine if a gift qualifies as "Preferred" (high gain).
Step 1: The Hobby Check
Every operator has two specific hobbies (e.g., Creative, Lifestyle, Outdoor, Technology). If a gift does not match one of these hobbies, it will be greyed out and cannot be given at all. Matching a hobby makes the gift "Acceptable" -- the lower efficiency tier.
Step 2: The Preference/Trend Check
To become a "Preferred" (High Gain) gift, the item must match the hobby AND meet one of these conditions:
Faction Match -- The gift belongs to the operator's home faction:
- Diamond icon: Valley Protocol
- Lightning icon: Valley Industries
- Running Man icon: Wuling Runner
- Hat Man icon: Wuling Merchant
- Pillar icon: Wuling Tianshi Bureau
"Hot" Status -- HG rotates trending items every patch. These are trending items that any operator will accept as a Preferred Gift, provided it matches their hobby.
The Currency Meta: V4 Bills Over Wuling Bills
The Trap
Newer operators (Lifeng, Chen, Zhuang FY) have Wuling-specific items as their primary preferred gifts. Buying these costs Wuling Bills, which are extremely valuable for purchasing catalysts, upgrade materials, and high-tier gear.
The Solution
Use your Valley 4 (V4) Bills instead. V4 currency becomes largely surplus in the late game once you have cleared the shop's unique items. The V4 shop allows you to buy roughly 700 gifts per week. Even if an operator prefers a Wuling gift, you can still reach the daily cap using V4 Acceptable gifts.
Efficiency math: 700 V4 gifts is enough to max out 3 operators per week from 0 to 100% without spending a single Wuling Bill.

Daily Routine Shortcuts
Two tricks will make your daily trust grind significantly faster.
The Meeting Point Shortcut
Don't run around the world looking for operators. Go to the Dijang Central Ring and find the Meeting Point (the large pole with the yellow banner). Interacting with the Operator Contact Panel allows you to summon any operator in your roster directly to you for immediate gifting.
The Teleport Refresh
Operators give you 5 food gifts per day, but the UI often only shows 3. Collect 3 at Dijang, teleport to any other node, then teleport back. The remaining 2 gifts will refresh and become available. Takes 30 seconds.
Pro Tip: Batch Your Gifting
Use the Meeting Point to batch-gift multiple operators in a single session. Summon Operator A, give 6 gifts (Green + Yellow), summon Operator B, repeat. This is far more efficient than running to each operator's location individually.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to reach 100% trust in Arknights Endfield?
3 to 5 days when maximizing Green and Yellow tier Preferred gifts daily. Each Green tier of 3 Preferred gifts grants ~20% trust below 100%.
What is the difference between Preferred and Acceptable gifts?
Preferred gifts match both the operator's hobby AND their faction or a Hot trending item, granting maximum trust. Acceptable gifts only match the hobby, providing lower efficiency.
Should I use Wuling Bills or V4 Bills for gifts?
Use V4 Bills. The V4 shop offers ~700 gifts per week, enough to max 3 operators from 0-100%. Wuling Bills are better spent on catalysts, upgrade materials, and high-tier gear.
How do I get all 5 daily food gifts from operators?
Collect 3 gifts at Dijang, teleport to any other node, then teleport back to Dijang. The remaining 2 gifts will refresh and become available.
Is it worth building trust past 100%?
Yes, but it is 4x slower. 100% unlocks stat nodes. 200% unlocks archives, voicelines, and improves daily food gift RNG rarity for high-tier consumables.
