OPERATOR TRUST SYSTEM: GIFTING & PREFERENCE META | ENDFIELD
Table of Contents
TL;DR - Key Points
- 100% Trust is the critical milestone — unlocks final Stat Nodes in the Skill Matrix for optimal combat performance
- 200% Trust is the completionist goal — unlocks full Personal Archives, voicelines, and improves daily food gift RNG rarity
- Green tier gifts are 4x more efficient than Red — 100% gain (gifts 1-3), 50% gain (gifts 4-6), 25% gain (gifts 7-8) for Preferred gifts
- Trust scaling halves after 100% — 3 Green Preferred gifts grant ~20% from 0-100%, but only ~5% from 101-200%
- V4 Bills beat Wuling Bills for gifting — V4 shop offers ~700 gifts/week, enough to max 3 operators/week from 0-100%
- Meeting Point shortcut saves time — Dijang Central Ring’s Operator Contact Panel summons any operator for instant gifting
- Teleport refresh unlocks all 5 food gifts — collect 3 at Dijang, teleport away and back to get remaining 2
- 0-100% in 3-5 days is achievable — maximize Green and Yellow tier Preferred gifts daily
The Three Pillars of Trust
Trust isn’t a vanity metric. It directly impacts combat performance and your resource economy. Understanding the three milestones will determine how you allocate your daily gifting budget.
The 100% Threshold
This is the single most important milestone. Reaching 100% Trust unlocks the final Stat Nodes in an operator’s Skill Matrix. Without these nodes, your operators are operating at a significant deficit in high-end content like Umbral Monument Agony Mode.
Every operator in your rotation should target 100% Trust first. The stat bonuses from the final nodes are multiplicative with other systems, making them irreplaceable for min-maxers.
The 200% Cap
Beyond 100%, no additional stats are gained. However, hitting the 200% cap unlocks the complete suite of Personal Archives and Voicelines. The practical benefit: it significantly improves the RNG rarity of the daily food gifts you receive from that operator. If you’re farming high-tier consumables, 200% Trust operators become passive resource generators.
The Passive Gain (Nexus)
In the Dijang Nexus, you can assign up to 3 operators to gain trust passively over time. This is a “set and forget” mechanic, but the rate is far too slow for active building. Think of it as a way to finish off characters who are already at 190%+, not as a primary gifting strategy.
The Math of Gifting: Efficiency Tiers
Gifting is gated by a daily fatigue system, visualized by the Smiley Face icon on each operator’s portrait. Ignoring these colors means throwing away resources.
Daily Caps
| Smiley Color | Efficiency | Preferred Gifts | Acceptable Gifts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Green | 100% Gain | Gifts 1-3 | Gifts 1-30 |
| Yellow | 50% Gain | Gifts 4-6 | Gifts 31-60 |
| Red | 25% Gain | Gifts 7-8 | Gifts 61-75 |
You can give an operator a maximum of 8 Preferred Gifts OR 75 Acceptable Gifts (or a proportional combination) per day. The efficiency drops are severe: a Red tier Preferred gift gives only 25% of the base trust value.
Trust Scaling (The Soft Cap)
The amount of Trust % per gift depends heavily on your current progress:
- 0% to 100% Trust: 3 Preferred Gifts (Green Tier) grant ~20% Trust
- 101% to 200% Trust: 3 Preferred Gifts (Green Tier) grant ~5% Trust
This 4x efficiency drop is why you should prioritize getting operators to 100% before investing in 200% runs. You can reliably take an operator from 0% to 100% in 3 to 5 days by maximizing your Green and Yellow tier gifts daily.
Anatomy of a Preferred Gift
Not every gift works for every operator. The game uses a two-step logic check.
The Hobby Check
Every operator has two specific interests (e.g., Creative, Lifestyle, Outdoor, Technology). If a gift does not match one of these hobbies, it will be greyed out and cannot be given at all. Matching a hobby makes the gift “Acceptable” — the lower efficiency tier.
The Preference/Trend Check
To become a “Preferred” (High Gain) gift, the item must match the hobby AND meet one of these conditions:
Faction Choice: The item belongs to the operator’s home faction, indicated by specific icons:
| Icon | Faction |
|---|---|
| Diamond | Valley Protocol |
| Lightning | Valley Industries |
| Running Man | Wuling Runner |
| Hat Man | Wuling Merchant |
| Pillar | Wuling Tianshi Bureau |
“Hot” Status: HG rotates “Hot” items every patch. These trending items are accepted as Preferred Gifts by any operator, provided the item matches their hobby.
The Currency Meta: Skip Wuling Gifts
This is the most important strategic takeaway for endgame players.
The Trap
Newer operators (Lifeng, Chen, Zhuang FY) have Wuling-specific items as their primary preferred gifts. Buying these costs Wuling Bills, which are extremely valuable for purchasing catalysts, upgrade materials, and high-tier gear.
The Solution
Use your Valley 4 (V4) Bills instead.
V4 currency becomes largely surplus in the late game once you’ve cleared the shop’s unique items. The V4 shop allows you to buy roughly 700 gifts per week. Even if an operator prefers a Wuling gift, you can still reach the daily cap using V4 “Acceptable” gifts.
The math: 700 V4 gifts per week is enough to max out 3 operators per week from 0 to 100% without spending a single Wuling Bill.
Keep your Wuling Bills for the real endgame purchases. The V4 gift economy is more than sufficient for trust progression.

Quality of Life & Daily Routine
Two tricks will make your daily trust grind significantly faster.
The Meeting Point Shortcut
Don’t run around the world looking for operators. Go to the Dijang Central Ring and find the Meeting Point — the large pole with the yellow banner. Interacting with the Operator Contact Panel allows you to summon any operator in your roster directly to you for immediate gifting.
This saves minutes per session and makes batch-gifting practical.
The Teleport Refresh for Food Gifts
Operators give you 5 food gifts per day, but the UI often only shows 3 initially:
- Teleport to Dijang and collect the first 3 gifts
- Teleport to any other node (or visit a friend’s base for credits)
- Teleport back to Dijang
- The remaining 2 gifts will now be available
This takes 30 seconds and guarantees you never miss food gift income.
Strategic Takeaway
Stick to V4 gifts, use the Meeting Point, and prioritize 100% Trust on your core roster before chasing 200%. Your Wuling Bills will thank you.
Are you focusing on the stat nodes for your main team first, or going straight for the 200% food rewards? Either way, the V4 economy has you covered.
